Amid a rapid capacity expansion for specialty DRAM, Winbond Electronics and Zentel Electronics, are both said to have cut their quotes close to the level of cost, according to industry sources. Despite the sharp cut in quotes, the corresponding impact on profitability will be still less than that from commodity DRAM, said the sources.
